As First Assistant District Attorney, Gene Riccardo continues to supervise the Domestic Violence Unit where he has focused much of his career as a prosecutor. In 2006, Mr. Riccardo was promoted to Deputy District Attorney prosecuting all felony and misdemeanor domestic violence cases. In 2001, Mr. Riccardo, along with members of the Lackawanna County Coalition to End Domestic Violence, updated the Lackawanna County Domestic Violence Protocol and conducted various trainings for Law Enforcement in Lackawanna County.
Mr. Riccardo was born and raised in Dunmore, is a 1984 graduate of Villanova University and a 1987 graduate of the Villanova School of Law.
Before joining the District Attorney’s Office in 2003, Mr. Riccardo had a successful career practicing law in the private sector.
He and his wife, Attorney Dawn Riccardo, and their six children reside in Lackawanna County.
