Ms. McCambridge attended the University of Scranton from 1996-2000 and achieved a degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in History/Social Studies and Psychology. Ms. McCambridge attended Widener University School of Law – Harrisburg Campus Evening Division Program, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2004.
Ms. McCambridge’s career at the District Attorney’s Office began as a certified legal intern in 2002, and after a one-year break to complete a clerkship with the Honorable Peter Paul Olszewski of the Pennsylvania Superior Court in 2004, she was hired as a full-time Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Domestic Violence Unit. In 2007, in addition to the Domestic Violence Unit, she began prosecuting cases in the Narcotics/Gun Unit. In 2009, she joined the Northeast Insurance Fraud Task Force, as an insurance fraud prosecutor covering 11 counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania. In January 2012, Ms. McCambridge was promoted to Deputy District Attorney of the Special Victims Unit, where her focus is on the prosecution of child and sexual abuse, maltreatment, and neglect.
Ms. McCambridge has served as an interim instructor at Marywood University, community prosecutor for Scranton’s South Side, and as a liaison for the North Pocono School District. Currently, she sits on the Lackawanna County Multidisciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) and the Lackawanna County Child Death Review Team, as well as the Board of Directors for the North Pocono Preschool and Daycare.
