Each year, Lackawanna County, offers grants to Lackawanna County. The grant process is established by researching Federal and State Government websites for funding for law enforcement. Once an announcement seems to fit what the office is looking for, a meeting is set up with the District Attorney and the 1st Assistant District Attorney to see if a program is needed, applications for each grant are taken and reviewed.
Then the grants will be awarded based on the evaluations and need of the recipients.
The grants are 3 year grants and need to be applied for by a certain date given by Pennsylavania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. Contact Jill Summa for submission deadlines.
